Useful package for treadmill maintenance, November 3, 2008 By Amazon Verified Purchase My guess is that 80% of us who buy treadmills use them 10 times or so, then use them as a laundry rack thereafter. Another 15% of us use them until they break, but never think about maintenance.
This package is a good deal if you are in the last 5% - the people who use their treadmill and are willing to tune it up every few months. If so, good for you. Your body and your treadmill will both thank you.
This kit has five parts:
1) A compressed air can that is handy for blowing dust out of the hard-to-reach areas of the treadmill.
2) Belt cleaner to clean off the walking belt. (Enough for four cleanings).
3) 2 doses of lube to go between the walking belt and the unit.
4) Some "belt dressing" to clean off and condition the drive belt, inside the unit.
5) A basic but clear manual explaining how and when to use the other items.
